Canada Fishing Trip

Fishing is a Canadian pastime and sport and has been for generations. I can remember going fishing as a young girl. I always found fishing to be peaceful and enjoyable.

1. What were your favourite Canadian fishing trips?

Me - My favourite Canadian fishing trips were with my cousin when I was a child. My cousin and I used to get in trouble from my Mom because we slept with our clothes on. We did this because we wanted to wake up very early and
go fishing. I don't think we ever caught anything but I do remember having a lot of fun.

JLHanna - my favorite Canadian fishing trips would have to be the Pike fishing trips my dad and I went on nearly everyday one summer. The spot where we any fishing was very close to where we use to live so we could always go fishing after work and have plenty of time fishing before returning home.

2. Do you have other memories of Canada fishing trips?

Me - Other memories of Canada fishing trips that I remember are when my son and daughter were just little, we would take them fishing. We would catch
sunfish and bass. We never really caught anything worthwhile and most of the fish we did catch were small, so we had to let them go back into the water.

JLHanna - Yes I remember those fishing trips. I remember going spear fishing with dad as well. Lately my boyfriend and I have been going fishing with friends and we did some ice fishing all winter. So I have many many memories of Canadian fishing trips.

3. Have you ever been on ice fishing trips?

Me - I have never been on ice fishing trips. It is something I have admired but have never had the opportunity to go. I think one of the main reasons I have never gone ice fishing is because I am too afraid to get cold. Funny, a
Canadian talking about being afraid of getting cold, but, there are Canadians that do not like the cold.

JLHanna - You are so funny, you just need to research ice fishing trips because there are several ways of taking ice fishing trips without getting cold. You could get a small fishing hut and a smaller wood stove an go fishing all night long if you wanted without getting cold once. I have been on several ice fishing trips.

4. Have you ever gone salmon fishing BC?

Me - I have never gone salmon fishing BC. I do live in BC. I have, however, seen the salmon run each year that I have lived here in BC at Adams Lake, north of Chase, BC. The salmon run is the most amazing event that I have ever
seen in my life. It totally amazes me that salmon travel so far upstream to get to their place of birth and then lay their eggs and die.

JLHanna - I don't live in BC so of course I have never gone salmon fishing BC.

5. What are your final thoughts on Canadian fishing trips?

Me - For me, Canadian fishing trips are something I want to do. In fact, I want to purchase my own fishing rod. I have never had a fishing rod of my very own. I have always had to use someone else's.

JLHanna - We are always taking Canada fishing trips and ice fishing trips. I can't imagine not having my own fishing rod. We do so much fishing I have several fishing roads and ice fishing rods sitting in my basement.
