Cell Phone Usage

I could never figure out what the big deal was about cell phones and texting. I've seen people using cell phones for years, texting their friends from a restaurant or texting their parents after a movie or a date to get a ride home.

I could never understand what the big deal was until I purchased my own cell phone a few months ago. I use my cell phone mostly for texting my friends. We make plans with our cell phones and we tell each other where we are and we tell each other what we are doing. Sometimes it is just boredom that makes us text each other so much but most times it is because we really want and need to know what each other is doing.

I rarely make a phone call with my cell phone. All my friends and I use texting. When I am leaving for work, I let my friends know I am on my way. Sometimes we meet up for coffee before work if we have enough time.

If I decide to go swimming or to the mall then I will let my friends now so that if they want they can come with me. If I go to the movies, I text my friends to see if they want to come with me and if they wouldn't mind picking me up or whether I would have to drive.

I wouldn't be able to live without my cell phone now. It is a very important communication tool for my friends and I.
