Define Darkness

To me, darkness is black, bleak, evil, depressing and represents death. I don't think there is much good you can say about darkness. Darkness represents all the bad things that happen in life. Darkness represents fear and anxiety.

When you close your eyes, you see nothing but black. That is darkness. You don't get to see all the other wonderful colours we have in the world. You see black and nothing else.

Darkness is bleak because when you see darkness you see nothing. With darkness you don't get to enjoy all the finer things in life. With darkness, there is nothing to see. There is nothing to enjoy.

Darkness represents evil because darkness is associated with the colour black and so is evil. It seems that a lot of things in life are associated with the colour black. Motorcycle gangs like the colour black. The mafia likes the colour black.

Darkness is depressing because you are not able to see the light, all you see is black. Black can be a depressing colour. It is a well-known fact that sunlight helps with depression. Humans need to have a certain amount of sunlight each day. We can now get artifical sunlight through light treatments but there is nothing like the real sun to cure us from our depression.

Darkness represents death. Darkness is nothing but blackness. Death is the same. Death is nothing but blackness. With death you feel nothing and see nothing. Death is the end.

Very good MsMazz.

dwilliamson I see where you are trying to elaborate, and I have to disagree. Not just for all my dark skinned brethren. Even if you are an atheist, you must recognize the growing scientific fact of universal connectedness. As all matter has been proven to be made up of tiny vibrations of energy that come together into subatomic particles. With this scientific fact, we know the energy cannot be created nor destroyed only changed. Thus, death is merely a changed state. There is no end.

Be Well

Hi RickyDLV. Thank you for your comment. I just wanted to clarify a few things about this hub that I wrote. I am not an atheist, I am actually a Christian. What I meant by saying that there is an end is that I lost my mother almost ten years ago. For me, her life has ended.

connorj, thank you for your comment. I am divided on whether or not I believe what you said.
