I Love the Mountains
64I Love the Mountains
I love the mountains, in fact I loved them so much that I moved 3000 km away to be closer to them. Now, I live right across the street from a mountain and I am in my glory.
I love the mountains because of their ruggedness, vastness and pureness. Very seldom you see a mountain disturbed by man. Most mountains are still in their original pristine state.
The other thing I love about mountains is the wildlife that lives on them. I have seen baby hawks, mountain sheep, coyotes, chukars and marmots on the mountain across the street from me.
Mountains are to be appreciated and they are also something not to fool around with too. This past winter in British Columbia, there have been many deaths caused by avalanches. It is very important to be prepared for dangerous situations when you are playing in the mountains.

I love your article and I love the mountains also. We have beautiful mountains in PA. My late father wanted me to move down to AZ but I couldn't leave my mountains. It is very beautiful down there also.

dwilliamson, your hub about the mountain is wonderful. It just goes to show how powerful mother nature is. I agree with you that the rugged beauty of mountains leaves us weak in the knee with awe and wonderment.
