Interupt

Why do people interupt other people when they are speaking? I think it is very rude and just causes a conversation to escalate into an argument.

When someone else is speaking, we need to learn to have some patience and let them finish. Once they have finished speaking then it is okay to say what you have to say.

Perhaps if someone just goes on and on and on when speaking, that person should be courteous and take a break to let others have their say as well. There are a lot of people in this world that just talk and talk and talk and don't make much sense when talking but just can't stop talking.

A lot of conversations that I have taken part in are usually one-sided. It is like nobody cares about my opinion because when I do speak, they aren't listening to a word I say. They are too interested in being angry about what they are talking about to care.

Listening to others and being able to hear every word they say is sometimes very difficult to do but it is also a very important part of carrying on a proper conversation with others.

These days, it is really hard to find someone that will have a decent conversation with without flying off the handle. Just remember not to interupt when someone else is speaking. If we all took an effort to carry on a conversation properly, I think a lot of arguments would not have gotten started in the first place.

  • Star Trek Online Tutorial Walkthrough

When you first learn a new game, it can be confusing at first. Even though, there is a tutorial when you start the Star Trek Online game, sometimes you just need some sort of walk through. I had Beta tested this game when it was in open Beta. Let me tell you, I was confused and did get a bit lost in there. Now, I can go through the tutorial like no tomorrow and get through it in one day. It took me about two or three days when I was testing it out. Please, don't let the pictures scare you. Am sure that we all know some people that seem to like the sound of their own voice. It can become a bit tedious to spend much time with them. Maybe some will read this hub and reconsider their habits if they are aware of what they are doing.

As to the interrupting...it is just plain rude. Of course sometimes it may be necessary with the type of person listed above. Example..."Excuse me, dinner is served." If we waited for the person to stop talking...no one would eat anything that was warm. LOL

Listening skills are becoming increasingly rare these days it is good that you point out how much better a conversation is when both sides get a chance to speak.

maggs224, thank you for your comment and yes, listening skills are very rare and something we should all concentrate on a little more. It would make the world of difference.

gusripper, thank you for your comment. Watching a group of politicians is like watching a group of kindergarten children. You are correct, they never finish their phrases because they are too busy arguing.
