May Flowers

My favourite flower is the rose. I think it is my favourite flower because it comes in a wide variety of colours and it is also the nicest smelling flower there is. Another reason I like the rose is because my mother, who passed away in July, 2001, used to love roses.

I once saw a blue rose in a gardening magazine once and I thought that was the most beautiful rose I had ever seen. I love the colour blue. It is my favourite colour.

I have two rose bushes planted in my yard. I planted them in memory of my mother so that I would have something to remember her by. These were planted just last year and we had a lot of roses on that bush last year. I remember they were pink and they smelled so good. I hope they do good again this year.

The only thing I don't like about roses is the thorns. I have been pricked so many times by rose thorns and you would think I would learn my lesson, because rose thorns sure hurt.
