Mother's Day Surprises

 If you could give your Mother anything for Mother's Day, what would you give her?

In my case, my mother is not with me anymore. She passed away on July 31, 2001. However, if I could have given my mother anything, I would give her my undivided love and attention. I would make sure that my mother had everything that she wanted. I would make sure she was comfortable and not suffering in pain like she did for so many years. I would make sure that she knew I loved her.

I miss my mother so much. I will never get over the fact that she is gone. I will never understand death. That last day I spent with my mother, I never imagined it would be my last. I did not think she was going to die. I thought she was going to come out of it, like she had so many times in the past.

Any holiday is not the same for me anymore. There is an empty void there. There has been an empty void in my life since my mother pased away. I will never be able to fill that void no matter what. For me, Mother's Day is a very tough day. I tend to just want to get it over with as soon as I can. I don't want to be reminded that it is Mother's Day. I just want to go away.

For anyone that still has a mother, spend time with her. Tell her you love her. Care for her. Do what you can with your mother while you still have her because there is always a chance that this could be  the last time you will spend time with her.
