Mountain Life

Mountain life is so much more relaxing than city life. It is not as fast paced as city life. Mountain life is more enjoyable and much more bearable.
I have lived in cities for most of my life. I didn't like the crowds, the traffic, the traffic jams or the pollution. I always felt overwhelmed by the sheer numbers of people and even the numbers of buildings that are in a city. Everyone in the city is in such a hurry to get anywhere and it takes so long just to go from one part of the city to another.
I moved to the mountains of British Columbia four years ago. Mountain life is more laid back. In mountainous regions, at least in Canada, there aren't as many big cities in the mountains, which means less people, less traffic and less buildings. Pollution is not as bad in the mountains either. I don't think I've even heard of a smog alert while living in the mountains.
Just the sheer beauty of seeing mountains and the wildlife each and every day when you wake up until you go to bed puts me in a good mood. I don't care what else goes on around me because once I see the mountains all my troubles go away. Life can be a little harder in the mountains because not everything is as convenient as it is in the city but it is a lot more peaceful and more serene.

D,
I am originally from mountain country, so I know just what you mean about the serenity. Now, I find in, my 'neck of the woods', the ocean. If I had to choose, I do not know which would win.
p.s. The picture you included in the article, do you see this scene everyday ? You are a lucky woman !
