My Acer Netbook

I purchased my Acer Aspire One netbook about a month ago and I wish I had this netbook years ago. I could have been so much more productive with it. I love the size of it, 8.9 inch screen and I love the fact that it is so light, under two pounds. I have had lots of gadgets in my lifetime from laptops to pocket pcs but there is no way that they will ever compare to my netbook.
The netbook I chose has 1 gig of ram and has a 160 gig hard-drive. It has a built-in webcam too. I won't be using the webcam too much but it is a nice feature if I ever decide I want to use it. They come in all kinds of colours but I wanted my favourite colour, blue.
I do have a desktop that has pretty much everything on it that I could ever want so why would I want a netbook. Well, for many reasons. The netbook allows me to be more flexible. I can sit outside with it or take it with me if I go on a trip or a drive.
I am a writer. I have written hundreds of children's stories to date and want to still write new ones all the time. Right now, I am dealing with back pain issues. It is sometimes very uncomfortable for me to sit in my regular computer chair for hours on end. Now, I just grab my little netbook and can type away right in my lazyboy chair with my heating pad on my back because right now, that is the most comfortable place for me to be.

Hi maggs224, you should definitely get one for your son. They are awesome. My daughter, who is in college, has one and she loves it. I love mine too. I paid $360 for it and I can pretty much do everything with my netbook as I can with my desktop.

I want something like that...I used to sell Acer at circuit city, they weren't too bad. I'm probably going to get one direct from a linux vendor, though.
I used to have an iBook but it was stolen from me at work..
I wouldn't trade my netbook for the world. Of course, it does have windows xp on it, hee hee. Ixxy you should definitely get one though. They are pretty cheap these days too. I'm sorry about your iBook though :(
How many megapixel camera is the inbuilt webcam?

Hey there!! I got a question for u.. I cant remember my password for mine, So there for I can not get on mine..lol..Do u know of a way I can by pass the password?

Jennifer if you are relaying to your XP log in password, you go into safe mode as Administrator you should be able to change your password. Hope that this helps...
Many Individuals have mistaken these Netbooks to the high power laptops/notebooks. The laptops have a better performance but also keep in mind that the cost is much higher than these Netbooks. The Netbooks are the next generation of portable devices for all types of individuals. For more information check my review on the several Netbooks.

I have an hp mini 1000 ... it has a 10.1 or 10.2 screen... but i personally dont think i could live with an 8.9 inch screen.
Olivia, thank you for your comment. I am so used to the 8.9 inch screen now. I mean, I have had it for over 2 years now and I use it every single day.
