My Best Sheryl Crow Songs and Why
72Sheryl Crow is my favourite female musician. I think that Sheryl Crow is a real down to earth person and I think that she stands up for her rights and doesn't let anyone dictate her life. Her singing is honest and has a lot of meaning to it. I have loved her music since her song "All I Wanna Do" came out in 1995.
1. All I Wanna Do - This song was the first song I heard of Sheryl Crow's. The song talks about wanting to have fun. I think that is the reason I love that song so much because I want to get to a point in my life where I can just have fun, you know, do what I want to do instead of people telling me I have to do this. I want to let loose and just have fun.
2. A Change - This song is the story of my life, always looking for a change, always looking for something better but unfortunately, not finding it. The lyrics in the chorus of this song starts off with, a change would do you good. How true is that? A change to my life right now, would do me so much good, nobody but me has any idea how much.
3. You're My Favourite Mistake - The lyrics of this song make me laugh because so much that goes on in my life right now is my favourite mistake. It seems I have made mistake after mistake but the most recent mistake I made was letting someone enter my life and letting them destroy me to the point that my health is now suffering because of it.
4. Soak up the Sun - Now this song brings happier memories of more recent times. Days of laying on the beach, forgetting all my problems and soaking up that warm sun. How could anything go wrong on a nice bright sunny day spent at the beach with the manĀ I love, his big strong arms wrapped around me tight?
5. The First Cut is the Deepest - Sheryl Crow' s rendition of this song is just heart-wrenching. I love the way she sings this song. This song brings me back to the days when I was 18 years old, falling in and out of love all the time but that one first true love hurts the most and always will.
6. If It Makes You Happy - This song reminds me of things I still want to do in my life just to make "me" happy. I have always done things in my life to please everyone else around me but nothing that has truly made "me" happy.
7. Everyday is a Winding Road - In my life right now this song should be my anthem. I never know from one moment to the next whether my days will be on the straight and narrow or whether it will be twisting and winding. My life is in such turmoil these days and I just don't know how to fix it or which road I should take to mend it.
8. Always on Your Side - This song really brings tears to my eyes. It is a very emotional love song that Sheryl Crow sings a duet with Sting. In my life, I feel that I am the outcast in my own home, that I am the one that has to sacrifice everything including my morals and values in life just to get along.
9. Pictures - This song is the most heart-wrenching song that I have heard Sheryl Crow sing. Sheryl Crow sings a duet with Kidd Rock on this song and it was actually Kidd Rock that wrote this song. Pictures talks about relationships that have failed and the hurt that goes along with it. This song tells the story of my life.
10. Sweet Child of Mine - This song is originally a Guns 'n Roses song but I love Sheryl Crow's rendition of this song. This song talks about how sweet and innocent things appear as a child and then how that changes when you grow up and become an adult. Why can't we just have the sweet innocent feelings we had as a child? Why does it all have to change?

I like the hub. I like Sheryl's album the globe sessions, but "Am I getting through" and "favourite Mistake" are my favourites.
