Paramount Canada's Wonderland

Growing up in Ontario, Canada, I had ample oppourtunity to visit many of it's theme parks, the biggest one being Canada's Wonderland. Canada's Wonderland is located just off highway 400, north of Toronto, Ontario.

Canada's Wonderland boasts tons of rides and attractions and a great big water park. Canada's Wonderland is a great family outing. Canada's Wonderland also holds concerts there as well.

I haven't been to Canada's Wonderland now in years. I found Canada's Wonderland to be huge. There was so much to see and that meant a lot of walking, and I mean a lot.

It used to be years ago, that all the main concert events in Toronto were held at Exhibition Stadium during the Toronto Exhibition. I don't know exactly when that changed or why it changed but they started holding the concerts at other venues instead. Canada's Wonderland was one of those venues.

The last time I was at Canada's Wonderland, I saw Red Rider and Bob Seger in concert, at two separate concerts held that summer. It would have been the summer of 1982. I also remember that the ticket prices were very, very reasonable for the concerts. I wasn't too thrilled about either of the concerts I did see there because the noise of the park seemed to overpower the music and that was too bad because I really liked Red Rider and Bob Seger. At the Red Rider concert, I had somehow contracted the chicken pox because a few days later, after seeing that concert, I became very ill and had red spots all over me. I can't think of any other place I would have gotten them from because I really hadn't gone anywhere that summer except for those two concerts.

I haven't been there in years too. For a while I went at least once a year. I saw some amazing concerts there: The Smiths, Van Morrison, Flock of Seagulls :)
