Paul Lake Provincial Park

I have camped at Paul Lake Provincial Park several times. It is one of my favourite places to camp in BC.

Paul Lake Provincial Park is located off Highway 5 which is just north of Kamloops. Paul Lake Provincial Park is open from May 15 to September 15. There are 90 campsites in the park nestled in Douglas-fir, pine trees and aspen trees. The fees to camp at Paul Lake Provincial Park are about $15 per night.

At Paul Lake Provincial Park there is a trail you can hike which takes you to a gorgeous view of the lake. I have hiked that trail and it is some hike but it is well worth it. The view was spectacular.

One thing to watch out for in Paul Lake Provincial Park is bears. I have not seen an actual bear in the campground. I have heard from the park attendants that there have been bear sightings. I have seen bear on the road going into the park so I know there are bear in the area.

It is always a good idea to keep your site clean, garbage picked up and food put away. Keep your coolers inside your locked vehicle. This will help keep the bears away.

All in all, Paul Lake Provincial Park has a lot to offer and it is worth checking out.

What country do you live in gusripper? We have so many lakes here in BC. There are probably 50 lakes in a distance of 100 km. from where I live.

Does anyone know how fast the campground fills up by Friday night? Coming from out of town and want to be prepared if it's full.

Sorry Darren, no I don't have the answer to that question but you can call the park. There is a website for BC Parks.
