The Sims 3 Game

The highly anticipated sequel to the popular life simulation game. The Sims is set to be released on June 2, 2009. Previously, it was slated to be released in February. There is even an online petition for Electronic Arts, the creator of the Sims, to push the date back to February. Well, seeing as this is now May 31 and June 2 is only 2 days away it doesn't look like petition did anything.

Reading on different forums about the Sims 3, people want it. They don't want to wait for this game. They want it now. Some think it is a ploy by Electronic Arts to build more hype for the games release. This is probably true.

I don't know what all the fuss is all about, after all it is just a game. However, it does seem that people love this game. I've seen the same type of fuss over releases of other games that promote violence but this doesn't do that. This game is all about making your character happy and about making your character have a happy life.

There is a website all setup for The Sims 3 too, www.thesims3.com. It is more a community for the players of the game. Players can create an account, login and share their Sims3 creations online. With the Sims3 you can create unique characters and customize virtually everything in the game.
