Travellin' Rick is a character I created for my children's story website, www.bedtymetales.com, in 1992. Travellin' Rick has done a lot of traveling throughout Canada for the past couple of years. Travellin' Rick would like to do a lot more travelling yet, too. I am hoping to chronicle the journeys of Travellin' Rick through my hubs and share my favourite photographs with you.

I didn't do any traveling during the month of April because I have been laid up with my back. However, I do have a fair number of photographs to share with you. Photographs of my new kitten, Arrow, my dog, Ice, mountain sheep and robins. I am really lucky to be living right across the street from a mountain because quite often I get to see lots of different types of wildlife.

April 3, 2009 - This is my new kitten, Arrow. I got him on April 3, 2009. Arrow has a slight deformity. You can see he has six toes on each of his two front paws. I love Arrow to bits. He came to me a time in my life when I needed a smile.

April 4, 2009 - Ice, my dog, wants to check out the new addition to our family. However, once Arrow got a look at Ice, he hissed at Ice. It is funny that even at such a young age, kittens know how to hiss at dogs.

April 10, 2009 - We have a pair of robins living in our yard this year. I love robins. I look forward to seeing a robin every spring because that is a sign that spring is finally here. This year, spring was rather late in getting here.

April 11, 2009 - This is my dog, Ice. Ice is part Australian cattle dog. Ice is the best dog in the whole wide world. I love Ice to pieces. He is so gentle and so obedient. I love Ice's icey blue eyes the most.

April 12, 2009 - We have a mountain right across the street from us and quite often we get the pleasure of seeing mountain sheep. There is a whole herd of them that travel along this mountain.
